March 23 - April 27, 2024
Antonia Ramis Miguel “The Language of Constructivism”
Opening reception: March 23, 5-7pm,
Evening with the Artist: April 9, 6-7:30pm.
Antonia was born in Spain and has been painting since childhood. She studied with Edgardo and Alceu Ribeiro, students of the renowned constructivist Joaquin Torres-Garcia. The influence of her native Spain, particularly the use of saturated color, is however still visible in her work.
Antonia Ramis Miguel uses the principals of Constructivism to reduce form to its most essential elements. Her paintings represent the important elements of the structured line and the strength of color in developing the composition.
