Alfredo Ratinoff was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he trained in ceramics with Teodolina Garcia Cabo from age 11. He studied at Buenos Aires' National School of Ceramics and studied drawing and painting at the National Art Academy. His work is in private and public collections around the nation, including AT&T headquarters in Oakton, Virginia, the Strathmore Hall Arts Center in Bethesda, and the Embassy of Argentina, where he is chief curator. Ratinoff is artist in residence at the Lee Arts Center in Arlington, and serves as a curator for the art committee at the Inter-American Development Bank. He is represented by the Watergate Gallery in Washington, DC.
